Rotary plans drive against malnutrition

The Rotary Bangalore Indira Nagar, Dist 3190 has announced plans to combat malnutrition among children, girls from rural areas and help ailing mothers this year.

The club plans to work with severely acute malnourished children, and on providing nutrition and dietary supplements to pregnant and nursing mothers.

Besides, we will also be partnering with women self help groups to strengthen our work,” said Ambika Narayan, the new president. She was speaking at the ceremony to install the new president of the club here on Monday.

Ambika also highlighted the initiative of the club with the BBMP and the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in adopting schools and planned to continue with the work during her tenure.

Ambika Narayan, co founder of Aparanji Jewellers, Bangalore took over the reins from Shashank Kekre.  Ambika has already donned a number of other roles in the club over the years.
